Two men were spotted by officers on Mamaroneck Road, east of Palmer Avenue on Wednesday night acting suspiciously outside a local residence, Scarsdale Police Capt. Thomas Altizio said on Thursday. Further investigation revealed that the home had just been burglarized.

Altizio said the two suspects - White Plains resident Vincent Cuccurulio, 31, and Valhalla resident Christian Rosa, 26 - were tracked down and taken into custody nearby. Property stolen from the Mamaroneck Road home was recovered from the pair at the time of their arrest.

Police were assisted by the New Rochelle, Greenburgh, White Plains and Mount Pleasant police departments, Altizio added.

The Scarsdale Police Department has an active and ongoing investigation into both Cuccurulio and Rosa, Altizio noted. The two were arraigned on Thursday morning after being charged with a felony count of second-degree burglary. Both Cuccurulio and Rosa were remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail.
